I hope you are doing great and still living off the high of the national championship!
We want to reach out to you and let you know about leadership opportunities with the Denver Carolina Club. As you might know, Christine Spiller ‘08, Mike Tevebaugh ‘07, Ben Allhouse ‘02 and I have run the Denver Carolina Club for the last four years (Ben for 8) and we think that it’s a good time to be term limited and pass the torch on to the next generation. We have been incredibly privileged to have so many fantastic active members, and regardless of your past activity level, we would love to have you be part of the next wave of club leaders.
While the current co-chairs all have different roles that we have taken on within the club, we’ve never created a board or bylaws or formal positions. Depending on the amount of interest we have in club leadership, we’d like to explore the possibility of becoming a little more formal in the leadership structure, and we’d love your feedback on that as well.
We are having a leadership interest meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:00 PM in the Board Room at the Blake Street Tavern. Please let us know if you all can make it. If not and you are interested in club leadership, we’d like to set up a time with you after the interest meeting to catch you up on what the group decided. The goal of the interest meeting is to go over the current events/contacts/structures of the club, and allow the incoming club leaders to discuss with the current leadership ideas for moving the club forward. After that, we’ll get the new leaders in contact to run the club from there, and the current co-chairs will be around to provide support as the new leaders get going.
